Allegany County Board Of Elections Elections Director Diane Loibel Has Reminders for Voters

Allegany County Board of Elections Elections Director Diane Loibel talks about upcoming deadlines for voters and details on mail in, early and in person voting for the 2020 General Election. Maryland voters can request a mail in ballot until today Oct 20th. Mail in ballots can either be mailed or put in a drop box at the Allegany County Office Complex or at Mountain Ridge High School. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked or placed in a designated drop box by 8pm on November 3, 2020. Early voting will be held at the Allegany County Office Complex from 7am unitl 8pm on Oct 26th-Nov 2nd. Voting on Nov 3rd Election Day will be held 7am until 8pm at six locations in Allegany County including  Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department, Fort Hill High School, Allegany High School, Westmar Middle School, Mountain Ridge High School and Allegany County Office Complex. Loibel says they are preparing for an 85 percent voter turnout total. She reminds all voters who plan to vote in person that masks are required and social distancing must be maintained.
