Two Tigers and Lion Being Taken from Tri-State Zoo

Cheyenne, Mowgli & Peka are scheduled to be taken from the Tri-State Zoological Park in Allegany County this morning. A judge ordered the big cats to be moved following a lawsuit involving PETA and the Tri-State Zoological Park. The big cats will be taken to a facility in Colorado. Bob Candy owner of the Tri-State Zoo says the situation is tearing his heart out because the tigers and lion are like his kids. Candy says he feels very lucky to have been able to raise them and they are part of the community. A third vehicle then collided with the same median guardrail, simultaneously striking one of the crashed vehicles that was up against the guardrail. This third vehicle then continued off the right side of the roadway and struck one of the deer. All vehicles were disabled and towed from the scene. All of the drivers & occupants (4-total) were local to the area and were all transported to UPMC Western Maryland with injuries sustained in the collision.
