A 17 year old is dead following a crash in Bedford County, PA. According to Pennsylvania State Police on Aug 28th at about 10:30 pm the two vehicle accident happened along Cortland Road in Napier Township. A vehicle driven by the 17 year old male from New Paris was heading northbound and he swerved to miss debris in the roadway then traveled off the right side of the road and reentered the roadway but was unable to maintain control of the vehicle and traveled sideways north on State Route 96. While his car was traveling sideways another vehicle heading southbound driven by 57 year old Fernando Rodriguez also of New Paris struck the teen’s vehicle on the passenger side. The 17 year old was pronounced dead at the scene and Rodriguez and his passenger 49 year old Diana Rodriguez suffered minor injuries.
