No One Injured After Tractor Trailer Fire on I-68

No one was injured after a tractor trailer hauling wood caught fire early this morning. According to Maryland State Police at about 3:40 this morning trooper were called out to eastbound I-68 exit 68 at Little Orleans. .  A 1998 Peterbuilt truck tractor hauling a 1995 flatbed trailer loaded with wood, caught fire after its rear tandem brakes overheated.  The fire caused the wood on the trailer to ignite.  The driver was able to pull the truck and trailer to the shoulder before exiting the vehicle.  Fire crews responded to the scene and extinguished the fire before the truck tractor could catch fire.  Due to the extent of the damage, and heat from the fire, both lanes of I68 were closed for about an hour. The driver 58 year old David McBee of Hooversville, PA was not injured and refused treatment at the scene.
