Cahoots Tavern

Jun 18, 2010 -- 11:32am
Cahoots Tavern is a new bar on Virginia Avenue. Cahoots had been Dave and Evelyn's for more than 26 years. Owner Scott Haines says he chose Virginia Avenue because of all the revitalization efforts going on along the Corridor. He says he owns several other properties and originally he was just interested in the property, but once he found out it included the bar and the liquor license he decided to purchase and manage the facility. His wife also owns the Cumberland Keep also located on Virginia Avenue. Haines says over the next couple of months they will be adding on to the bar and adding a horseshoe pit. Haines says he came up with the name bantering back and forth with his wife. He says he grew up in Cumberland, moved away to Virginia and came back.
